To Understanding Users, we did
User Survey
What problems the users are facing? How often face the problem? Why they are facing these problems and what solutions they come up with? Where drop-offs and friction occur while booking venues in other application?
Competitive Analysis
Here, we want to understand where others are lacking on user needs, and doing better!
Our Findings
Users frustrates because platforms show places but fail to capture intent like mood, vibe, or social context. Poorly contextualized reviews lead to mismatched expectations, wasting time and money.
They have to switch between multiple apps for cafés, dining, parties, and venue booking. Fragmented ecosystems increase mental effort and disrupt decision-making.
Finding like-minded people is easy but to identify venue that match the shared atmosphere & energy is difficult. This creates a disconnect between people and place.
Problem Statement
People find it hard to find and book social venues that fit their mood, personality, and social context. Current platforms overwhelm users with generic listings and unreliable reviews, and broken booking processes. This leads to decision fatigue, repeated drop-offs, and a heavy reliance on familiar places or personal networks instead of confident exploration.
Goal Statement
Help users easily find, assess, and book social venues that fit their mood, personality, and social setting. This can be done by lessening choice overload, personalised reviews, and shortening decision time. The goal is to make exploration feel smooth, personal, and safe for all ages and in different locations.
Personality-led onboarding
Introduce a simple personality assessment during onboarding and include a progress bar. This sets expectations, reduces early friction, and allows for immediate feed personalization.
Mood-based discovery
Add mood filters on feed so users can browse venues based on how they feel, rather than search. This reduces cognitive load and speeds up decision making.
A Confidence cue per venue
Each venue card shows only one confidence signal. To avoids diluting trust and helps users decide faster without overthinking.
Contextual review tagging
Tagged reviews with the reviewer’s mood and personality. This improves relevance and helps users determine whether a venue suits them, rather than the average user.
Smooth booking flow
The booking flow reveals information progressively to reduce friction, maintain momentum, and minimize drop-offs before payment.
